TRANSPORTATION
We would love to have as many people as possible arrive around the same time to reduce transportation costs to Napa
Thursday will be a casual arrival day with no big activities, so no pressure to rush to the house. Take your time, see SF, get an early jump on wine adventures, above all...relax! Once your itinerary is confirmed, please send the info to Kimberly!
TASTING FEES
Most vineyards charge a tasting fee. In Napa that could range from $25 - 50. Outside of Napa (Sonoma, Healdsburg), they can get a little cheaper. Most tasting fees are waived with bottle purchases. So BUY BOTTLES!!!
WEATHER
Summer in Napa is beyond beautiful! And HOT!! Please plan accordingly for very cool mornings that heat up quite quickly. While SF may be a bit on the cooler side, the Valley tends to a bit warmer. Average high will be in the mid 80s, average low is in the mid 50s. It tends to get a bit cooler at night as well-- pack accordingly!
WINE EDUCATION
We want everyone to have an opportunity to have all of their questions answered. We are arranging a private wine educator for Friday to help prepare everyone for our adventures -- this year and beyond!
CRUSH
"Crush" is the time of year when the grapes get harvested and wine production kicks in. It's called "crush" because they are literally crushing the grapes! It is the most popular time of the year for the region. You can smell the scent of ripening fruit in the air.

WHAT TO WEAR
While California Wine Country is a casual place, there are many wonderful people who take that way too literally! Dress for comfort, but wear the clothes you think are appropriate for $100 bottles of wine.
